Intellectual

Fostering and transmitting the Catholic intellectual tradition is part of the Centre’s mandate, specially by bringing faith and reason into fruitful dialogue with each other. The Director, as a member of the Newman Institute of Catholic Studies, organizes intellectual programs to this end, such as lectures, conferences, discussion groups, courses, and the publication of the Centre’s journal The Newman Rambler. The weekly academic programs include the Scholars’ Club Speaker Series and the Book Club. The Director teaches courses in Catholic Studies at the School of Religious Studies and fosters dialogue with McGill’s faculties and departments, partnering with them in the common pursuit of truth and knowledge.
