RCIA [2021/2022]

Please email Fr. Anthony if you have any questions about RCIA or if you wish to join the group: chaplain@newmancentre.org

“RCIA” stands for “Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults”: it is the journey adults take to receive the sacraments of initiation in the Catholic Church, namely Baptism and Confirmation, followed by Holy Eucharist. If you are either already Catholic but have not received all of these sacraments, or a Christian who wishes to come into full communion with the Catholic Church, or a non-Christian who has decided to become Catholic, or someone who is simply looking to learn and discuss the Catholic Faith, the RCIA program will guide you in this process. College and university students and staff can participate in the RCIA at the Newman Centre. You will be provided with materials to help you in your studies and there is no charge for the classes.
